Tavares Briggs is an experienced administrator and educator with a strong background in behavioral intervention and student support. Currently serving as Administrator/Dean of Students and Behavioral Interventionist at LEARN Charter School Network since December 2013, Tavares acts as a liaison between the school and parents, developing interventions and behavior plans for students with challenging behaviors. Additionally, since June 2014, Tavares has provided legal guidance to lower-income residents as a Live Help Operator at Illinois Legal Aid Online. Previous experience includes roles as a Social Emotional Learning Instructor at Chicago Public Schools, Program Manager at First Family Community Services, Psychiatric Technician at Maryville, Program Coordinator at CSW Upward Bound, and an Intern/Administrative Assistant at Rush University Medical Center. Tavares holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Sciences and a Paralegal Certification from DePaul University.
