From 2017, Haas has been working at Leap Therapeutics, initially as a Senior Scientist and later promoted to Associate Director of Research. Michael'sresponsibilities included identifying and establishing cancer models for proof of concept studies, evaluating therapeutic antibodies in mouse models, and validating assays for mechanism of action studies.

Michael Haas earned a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Pharmacology) from The University of Toledo, specializing in the Department of Cardiovascular Biology and Metabolic Diseases, between 1998 and 2002. Prior to that, they obtained an M.S. in Medical Sciences (Biochemistry) from The University of Toledo, focusing on the Department of Biochemistry and Cancer Biology, from 1995 to 1998. Michael completed their undergraduate studies at Stonehill College, graduating with a B.S. degree in Biology between 1991 and 1995.
