Rachel Swartz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Rachel began their career at Johns Hopkins University as a Research Program Coordinator, where they coordinated clinical trials focused on sleep apnea and metabolic function. Rachel then transitioned to the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus, where they held various roles including Administrative Resident, Business Manager in the Medicine department, and Business Supervisor in the Ambulatory department. In these positions, they supervised staff, managed financial data, and ensured compliance with policies and regulations. Rachel later joined the University of Maryland Medical System as an Ambulatory Informatics Training and Support Analyst, providing training and support for informatics systems. Rachel'smost recent experience is at LeanTaaS, where they worked as a Project Manager before the acquisition of Hospital IQ, and currently holds the role of Program Manager. In this role, they focus on lean principles and predictive analytics to build intelligent, real-time systems that improve patient access and reduce healthcare costs.
Rachel Swartz completed their Master's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in 2010 with a degree in Psychology. In terms of certifications, they obtained the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)â„¢ from the Project Management Institute in September 2015 and later achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the same institution in March 2023.
