Cara Mayo has extensive experience in editorial and research roles, currently serving as Associate Editor for the Fishery Bulletin at Leading Solutions, LLC since June 2022. Previously, Cara held a similar position at ECS and worked as a Research Associate at ECS Federal, Inc. with NOAA Fisheries. Cara's early career included impactful work as the Program Manager of Food Recovery Certified at the Food Recovery Network, where a national certification program for food recovery was developed, receiving media coverage from various outlets. Additional experiences include mentoring students as a New Chapter Coordinator and Expansion Intern and participating in the Points of Light Civic Accelerator. Cara holds a Full Stack Web Development Certification from freeCodeCamp and a B.S. in Environmental Science and French from Juniata College.
