Jimmie is an Associate based in New York. A documentary storyteller, writer, and advocate for racial and gender equity, he is a Skoll Foundation Principal, member of the New York City Mayor’s Gender Equity Commission, and an adjunct professor in social change journalism at New York’s International Center of Photography. He is the founder and executive director emeritus of Man Up Campaign which activates youth to stop violence against women and girls. A National Magazine Award finalist, his book “Innocents Lost: When Child Soldiers Go To War,” investigated war-affected children around the world and his next book is an oral history of Ferguson, Missouri following Michael Brown’s death in 2014.
