Sophie Dorsaz is an experienced journalist and outdoor guide with a focus on environmental and mountainous themes. Currently serving as an Accompagnatrice en moyenne montagne at Coeur Sauvage since June 2023, Sophie organizes and leads day and multi-day hikes while sharing knowledge about alpine environments. Since March 2014, Sophie has been a journalist for Le Nouvelliste, covering local news with a special emphasis on environmental issues. Previous experience includes a role as a Stagiaire JRI at canal 9 / kanal 9 from 2011 to 2012, where Sophie independently conducted interviews and produced news segments. Sophie holds a Master’s degree in Journalism, Communication and Media Studies from Université de Neuchâtel and a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary History and Spanish Language and Literature from Université de Fribourg.
