Paula Hammond is the Co-founder of LayerBio. Dr. Hammond is the David H. Koch Professor in Engineering and head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at MIT. She was elected into the National Academy of Engineering in 2017, the National Academy of Medicine in 2016, and the 2013 Class of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Hammond’s awards include the Junior Bose Faculty Award, GenCorp Signature University Award, NSF Career Award, EPA Early Career Award, the DuPont Young Faculty Award, and the 3M Innovation Fund Award. Dr. Hammond is an expert in nanotechnology and polymer films for drug delivery.
