Amy Ruiz is the Managing Member of Amy Ruiz Law, PL, a full-service law firm specializing in Traffic matters, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury since January 2012. In addition to this role, Ruiz serves as an Official Member of Lawyers of Distinction and has held the position of Special Magistrate for the City of Tampa from April 2017 to January 2023. Previous experience includes positions as Managing Member at Skyway Title, LLC, Associate Attorney at Masten, Peterson, & Denbo focusing on Insurance Defense, and Assistant State Attorney with the Office of State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit. Ruiz began their legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Tampa, Florida. Education includes a Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing & International Economics from the University of Florida.
