Michael Macaulay serves as a Partner at Lawson Lundell LLP since October 2015, specializing in corporate, commercial, and securities law with particular emphasis on technology, emerging companies, venture capital, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior experience includes an Associate role at Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, where a similar focus on corporate law and venture capital was maintained from November 2010 to October 2015, and a previous Associate position at Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP from May 2007 to November 2010. Early in 2006, Michael Macaulay worked as a Research Assistant at the Capital Markets Institute, contributing to research for the modernization of securities legislation in Canada. Academic credentials include an LL.B from Dalhousie University (2004-2007) and a B.A. in Political Science from The University of British Columbia (1999-2003).
