The Lawrence Woodmere Academy leadership team has a long history of awards and recognition in the field of education. They have won the Blackboard Award for Excellence in Education Leadership from New York Family Magazine, the Dr. Irene Impellizari Award from the Catholic Teachers' Association, and the Blackboard School of Excellence Award from Scholastic Inc. and Family Magazine. In addition, they have been honored with the Educator Hometown Hero Award from the NY Daily News Hometown Hero Award 2013, and have been recognized as an Educational Consultant by the NYC Department of Education. Most recently, they served as Community Superintendent and Senior Achievement and Technology Integration Facilitator--SATIF at the NYC Department of Education, and are now Principal at the school.
