Rachel Lagos is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Public Defender at the Public Defender 2nd Judicial since January 2021. Prior to this role, Rachel held positions as a Certified Legal Intern and as a Legal Intern at the Innocence Project of Florida. Rachel's legal career also includes law clerk positions at Eraclides Gelman and McConnaughhay, Coonrod, Pope, Weaver & Stern, P.A. Additionally, Rachel has a background in journalism, having worked in various editorial roles, including Editor in Chief at Speak Magazine and The Tech Talk. Rachel holds a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Marketing from Louisiana Tech University.
