Irfan YOUSUF is an R&D Power Systems Engineer at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult since February 2023. Previously, as a Project Electrical Engineer in the Offshore & Marine Department at IDOM Consulting from April 2021 to December 2022, Irfan conducted energy mix and reliability analysis of power systems and performed stability analysis using DIgSILENT PowerFactory. An internship at Lemur Research Group in early 2020 involved modeling and simulating hierarchical control for microgrids in Simulink, culminating in a published thesis at the ECCE 2021 conference in Vancouver. Irfan holds multiple Master of Science degrees in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems from prestigious institutions including the University of Nottingham and Sapienza Università di Roma, along with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from American International University-Bangladesh.
