Christodoulos Aspromallis

Entrepreneur In Residence at Lateralus Ventures

Christodoulos Aspromallis, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Christodoulos began their career as an intern at the National Bank of Greece in 2007. Christodoulos then pursued their passion for music and worked as a music artist, composing, arranging, and performing in major international venues. In 2014, they joined UCL Computer Science as a Ph.D. researcher, where they conducted core research in computer science and published papers in international conferences. Christodoulos also co-founded and co-led the UCL Laptop Orchestra and provided technology consulting and support for industrial partners. During their time at UCL, they also served as a postgraduate teaching assistant and a students' representative. In 2018, they transitioned to the consulting industry and joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as an associate. Christodoulos worked their way up to the role of senior associate and consultant and gained experience in strategic consulting. In 2021, they took on the role of Head of Business Design at Lateralus Ventures before briefly serving as the Business Design & Ops (interim) at Paynest in 2022. Currently, they are employed at NXTLVL, where they focus on launch and business design.

Christodoulos Aspromallis, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. Christodoulos first pursued a Bachelor of Music Studies degree in Music Studies/Musicology from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, which they completed from 2004 to 2009. Alongside this, they also obtained Composition Diplomas in Music Theory and Composition from the National Conservatory (Greece) from 2001 to 2009. In 2010, they achieved a Classical Trumpet Diploma in Music Performance from the Conservatory of Agia Paraskevi (Greece).

Later on, in 2011 to 2013, Christodoulos completed a Master of Arts degree in Music Performance & Composition from the Royal Academy of Music. Moving away from music, they pursued a Master of Research degree in Virtual Environments, Interaction & Visualisation (VEIV) from UCL between 2013 and 2014.

Continuing their studies at UCL, Christodoulos completed a one-semester course in Mastering Entrepreneurship at the School of Management and also participated in a UCLU seminar on Starting a Business/Running a Business from 2013 to 2014.

Finally, Christodoulos obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in Virtual Environments & Interactive Games (Music A.I., Human-Computer Interaction) from UCL between 2014 and 2017.

Additionally, in 2017, they attained a certification in "The hidden value – Lean in manufacturing and services" through Coursera, provided by the Boston Consulting Group & Ecole des Ponts-ParisTech.
