Jay Short is an accomplished biochemist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in the biotechnology sector. Serving as Director at LusBio Inc since June 2018, Jay also holds the positions of Chairman, CEO, and Cofounder of BioAtla, Inc., which has been pioneering advancements in cancer therapy through Conditionally Active Biologics since its establishment in 2007. Additionally, Jay has contributed as an Advisor and Principal at Capia IP since 2005, utilizing expertise in intellectual property strategy. Past roles include Lead Director at Senomyx, Inc., Director and CEO at Ciris Energy, General Partner at Biotech Investment Group, and various advisory positions at multiple biotech firms. Jay Short earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University and a BA with Honors in Chemistry from Taylor University.
