Megan Nykodym

Teen Services Department Head at Las Vegas-Clark County Library District

Megan Nykodym has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. MEGAN began their career as a Historical Interpreter at the Fort Laramie National Historic Site and later worked as a Historical Interpreter at the Wyoming Territorial Prison. In these positions, Megan educated the public on the history of these sites and delivered speeches. Following this, they worked as a Food Server at Maggiano's Little Italy. Megan then transitioned to the education field, joining the Clark County School District as a Coach and later as a Teacher. In these roles, they communicated and collaborated with various stakeholders, planned and executed lessons, monitored student progress, and ran clubs and athletic programs. Their most recent position was at the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District, where they served as the Teen Services Department Head. Through their work experience, Megan has demonstrated strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Megan Nykodym began their education journey at the University of Wyoming in 1999, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in History. MEGAN successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2004. Returning to their alma mater, Megan pursued another Bachelor's degree, this time in Secondary Education Social Studies, which they successfully obtained in 2004 as well. After a gap of several years, they enrolled at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2009 to pursue a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Literacy Education. Megan completed their graduate studies in 2012.
