Arlo Bates specializes in public affairs and public relations.

Arlo grew up in West Des Moines, Iowa. He attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and history. In his time at Northern Iowa, Arlo was involved with the history club. He also volunteered at the Linn County Historical Society. At the historical society, he transcribed interviews and wrote content for the website.
