Mark Manley has extensive experience in the education sector, specifically in school districts. Mark began their career as an Administrative Specialist at Xenia City School District from 2012 to 2015. Mark then served as Assistant Superintendent at Mansfield City School District from 2016 to 2018. Following that, they worked as Assistant Superintendent at Stow-Munroe Falls City School District from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, Mark became the Director of Arts at Hamilton City School District, a role they held until 2022. Currently, they are the Director of Human Resources at Lansing School District, a position they began in August 2022.
Mark Manley earned a Bachelor's degree in Voice Performance from Anderson University from 1980 to 1984. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Voice and Opera Theater from Wichita State University, completing it from 1984 to 1987. In 2013 to 2015, Mark furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Educational Leadership degree from the American College of Education. Lastly, from 2014 to 2015, they enrolled in a Ph.D. program in Superintendency and Educational System Administration at Kent State University.
