William Schou has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. In 2013, they started working as a freelance journalist, writing articles for different Danish media outlets. William also worked as a translator for Viaplay Group, translating press conferences and interviews in Italian to Danish. In 2016, William became a project manager at Tolkegruppen Oversættergruppen P/S and later joined SIVIL* as a communication adviser in 2019. William also worked as a project manager at Danish Design Centre and as an adjunct assistant professor at HF & VUC København Syd. In 2020, William took on the position of head translator at Tolkegruppen Oversættergruppen P/S and started a podcast called "Colosseum - en kærlighedspodcast til Italien på godt og ondt." Currently, they hold the position of Head of Translation and Sales - Danish operations at Språkservice Sverige AB.

William Schou completed their high school education at Østre Borgerdyd Gymnasium from 2001 to 2004, where they pursued a field of study in Sproglig student. William then attended the University of Copenhagen from 2006 to 2009, studying Law. Following this, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Italiensk sprog og kultur med tilvalg i Jura from the University of Copenhagen from 2009 to 2012. In the same year, they also enrolled at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna to study Translation and Rhetoric, although the end year is not specified. William further pursued a Master's Degree in Italian Culture and Politics at the University of Copenhagen from 2012 to 2016.
