Karl Kristinsson is a Professor of Clinical Microbiology at the University of Iceland, where contributions have been made since August 2000. In addition to this academic role, Karl has served as the Head of the Department of Clinical Microbiology at Landspitali University Hospital since August 1999. Karl Kristinsson holds a Cand Med degree in Medicine from Háskóli Íslands, completed between 1973 and 1979, and a PhD in Clinical Microbiology from The University of Sheffield.
