Jason Harrington, FACHE has extensive experience in healthcare administration. Jason began their career as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Colorado Technical University in 2000 and held this role until 2003. In 1999, they joined Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, where they served as the Director of Network Human Resources. In this position, they were responsible for managing several hospitals, clinics, home care, long-term care, and DME agencies. Jason also played a key role in acquisition activities. From 2002 to 2006, they held the position of Regional Clinic Administrator at Avera McKennan Hospital, where they were in charge of 9 primary care and multi-specialty clinics. During this time, they managed budgets exceeding $45 million and a team of 35 physicians and 200 non-physician staff. In 2006, they joined Spencer Hospital as the Vice President of Operations, a role they held until 2009. Since 2009, they have been the President/CEO of Lakes Regional Healthcare.
Jason Harrington, FACHE, earned a BA in Public Administration & Human Resources from the University of Northern Iowa, where they attended from 1990 to 1994. Jason then pursued further education at Des Moines University, earning an MHA (Master of Healthcare Administration) from 1996 to 1999. Jason Harrington also holds additional certifications, including being a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, which they obtained in August 2010. Additionally, they are a Senior Professional in Human Resources, obtained from the Society of Human Resource Managers in July 2000.
