Weijue Gao is a highly experienced academic and research professional with a focus on chemical engineering and environmental studies. Since April 2015, Weijue has served as a Research Associate and Lab Manager at Lakehead University while also teaching as a Contract Lecturer for courses such as Engi2330 Applied Chemical Thermodynamics and ENGI 3014 Engineering Chemistry. Previous experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Lakehead University and GE Power & Water, contributing to projects on anaerobic membrane bioreactors for wastewater treatment and water management. Weijue's academic background encompasses a Ph.D. in Bioenvironmental Engineering from Lakehead University, an MSc in Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from East China Normal University. Early teaching experience includes a role as a Practice Teacher at Jinyuan High School, where Weijue taught Grade 12 chemistry.
