Jerry Burnes is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism, communication, and photography. As the Co-Founder of Iron Range Today since 2022, Burnes plays a pivotal role in providing independent digital news coverage for Minnesota's Iron Range. Currently serving as the Communications and Digital Media Coordinator at Lake Country Power, Burnes also manages Jerry Burnes Photography, specializing in wedding, engagement, family, and senior photography, along with photojournalism and corporate work. Previous positions include Editor at Adams Publishing Group LLC, managing two daily newspapers and one weekly, and Managing Editor at The Williston Herald, where notable achievements included launching a rebranded magazine and establishing a community-partnered Editorial Board. With a Master’s degree in Communication Studies focusing on Public Relations and a Bachelor's in Journalism, Burnes combines a strong educational foundation with a robust portfolio of media experience.
