Beatriz Barboza has extensive experience in research and development in the field of computational modeling, particularly focused on deepwater engineering challenges. Currently, Beatriz works at Laboratório de Computação Científica e Visualização (LCCV), where the emphasis is on Conductor Casing simulation, Jetting modeling, and Geostatistics. Previous positions include roles as a Teacher Assistant at Swansea University and an Advanced Scholar during a PhD Exchange Program at Tsinghua University. Beatriz served as a Researcher Assistant at LAMCE/COPPE/UFRJ, contributing to projects involving the computational modeling of salt dome dynamics. Additionally, training in Petroleum Engineering was received at ANP and earlier researcher assistance at LCCV involved high-performance computing and numerical simulation applications. Beatriz holds a PhD in Computational Modelling from Swansea University, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Petroleum Engineering from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and a degree in Civil Engineering from Universidade Federal de Alagoas.
