Jim has more than 30 years of experience representing management in employment and labor matters including discrimination and labor litigation.
Throughout his career, Jim has provided counsel to major corporation across the broad spectrum of labor and employment law issues including compliance with state and federal employment requirements, designing effective personnel policies, and the development, design and implementation of employee benefit programs.
Jim regularly handles matters pertaining to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related civil rights laws, the federal Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act, among others areas. Jim represents employers in employment and whistleblower litigation in state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
In addition, Jim leads our affiliate’s Affordable Care Act team, which focuses on helping employers of all types and sizes successfully implement changes required by the nation’s unprecedented healthcare reform initiatives. He has written and spoken on numerous topics within the labor and employment area, including e-discovery issues.
Jim has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of Employment Law - Management, and Labor Law – Management since 2010. He is a graduate of New York Law School (J.D. cum laude) and Rutgers College (B.S.).
