Greg Ginn is a clinical biostatistician with over 30 years’ experience in the design and analysis of clinical trials in the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and CRO industries. He was thoroughly involved in statistical aspects of drug and device development as well as having experience in data management, regulatory affairs, and clinical research/monitoring. Prior to joining Labcorp Drug Development in 2021, Mr. Ginn was employed by Abbott and its subsidiaries for 14 years, holding positions of Senior Principal statistician/scientist, and Sr. Director of Biostatistics and Data Management. His responsibilities included study design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials, as well as supervising biostatistics and data management functions for medical device trials for PMA submissions. For 20 years prior to working at Abbott, Greg worked in small biotech, large Pharma, large Medical device and CROs in positions including Principal Statistician, Associate Director, Director, Sr. Director and Vice President of Biostatistics/Data Management. Creating and developing successful in-house capabilities for biostatistics, SAS programming, data management and medical writing has been a primary focus. For the past 2 years Greg served on the planning committee and chaired sessions for the FDA/AdvaMed Medical Devices and Diagnostics Statistical Issues Conference co-sponsored by the ASA Section on Medical Devices and Diagnostics. Greg has taught statistics classes at the university level, presented at statistical conferences, and co-authored 30 publications and presentations.
