Matthew Wylde

Adjunct Lecturer at La Trobe University

Matthew Wylde, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Performance Pathways Science at the National Youth Sports Institute, leading a trans-disciplinary team to develop science-informed training environments and educational resources for youth athletes in Singapore. Previously, Matthew held various leadership positions within the National Youth Sports Institute, overseeing Performance Pathways Management and Performance Analytics. In addition to this role, Matthew works as an Adjunct Lecturer at La Trobe University and has extensive experience in performance analysis from positions at the Singapore Sports School and Cardiff Met Archers Basketball Club. Matthew's earlier career included roles as a Sports Development Manager at the Singapore Sports Council and a Performance Analyst with the Metropolitan Police. Educational qualifications include a PhD focused on the assessment of loading profiles in adolescent badminton players, along with an MSc in Performance Analysis and a BSc in Information Systems.
