Dina McManus joined LaSalle’s staff in 2005, and has been a therapist in the field of sexual abuse and trauma for nearly 20 years. She is currently the Director for Clinical Services and oversees clinical staff of LaSalle’s Specialized Treatment Services Program which includes both residential and outpatient programs. Many of the youth participating in these programs have engaged in sexually harmful behavior and suffer from complex trauma and mental health issues.
Dina currently maintains a private practice in Albany, NY. In addition to her work as a therapist, Dina provides training and consultation services regionally and nationally on trauma informed care, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), sexually harmful behavior, vicarious trauma and self-care. Dina worked with Forensic Mental Health Associates in Albany, NY providing individual and group treatment for adult sexual offenders. She has been a member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA) both nationally and in New York State since 2005 and currently is member of the Board for NYS ATSA.
Prior to joining LaSalle School, Dina worked with St. Anne Institute’s community based services program providing specialized treatment for children, adolescents and adults affected by trauma and sexual abuse.
Dina earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the School of Social Welfare at the State University of New York at Albany, NY.
