Tara Daystar is a Lactation Consultant at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery GME since February 2021, specializing in inpatient and outpatient lactation consultation, support, and education. Since April 2018, Tara has served as an Accredited Leader for La Leche League International, a non-profit organization focused on breastfeeding support. Additionally, Tara has extensive experience as a Doula and Birth Assistant, having worked as a Certified Professional Midwife and Doula with Ancient Roots Midwifery & Doula Care, LLC from September 2011 to April 2020, providing home birth assistance and holistic services in various local hospitals. Tara holds an International Board Certified Lactation Counselor certification from Lactation Education Resources and has obtained midwifery accreditation from Maternidad La Luz Midwifery School and Birth Clinic. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's degree in German studies, Women's studies, History, and Literature from Lewis & Clark College, and studies at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit?t M¨¹nchen. Additionally, Tara is skilled as a High Ropes and Low Ropes Facilitator.
