Yuta Inokuchi is a Partner at L.E.K. Consulting's Tokyo office. Yuta has over 10 years of consulting experience, advising clients in various industries on strategic issues.
Yuta started their career as a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they worked on a number of energy-related projects. Yuta then transitioned into the private sector, joining SIGMAXYZ Inc. as a consultant. There, they advised clients in the technology, automotive, and consumer goods sectors on a variety of strategic topics.
In 2011, Yuta joined Nomura Research Institute Asia Pacific Pte Ltd to help start up the company's consulting business in the Asia Pacific region. Yuta was responsible for business development, project management, and delivery, working with both Japanese enterprises looking to enter the Asia Pacific market as well as government-related organizations. During their time at Nomura Research Institute, they worked on projects related to the development of financial markets and infrastructure in ASEAN countries, enhancing the efficiency of retail and wholesale industry in ASEAN countries, pharmaceutical distribution in ASEAN countries, and energy management and saving businesses in Southeast Asia.
Yuta joined L.E.K. Consulting in 2014 and became a Partner in the Tokyo office in 2015. Yuta has advised clients across a range of industries on strategic issues such as mergers and acquisitions, product development, and market entry strategies.
After graduating from high school in Japan, Yuta Inokuchi studied molecular biology at International Christian University. Yuta then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied molecular and cell biology. After earning their bachelor's degree, they returned to Japan to earn a master's degree in biochemistry from The University of Tokyo. Currently, they are pursuing a career in molecular neuroscience.
