Dr. Joy Ellington, MBA, EDFP, serves as the Emerging Markets Program Manager at L.A. Care Health Plan since April 2023. In addition, Dr. Ellington has been the CEO and Principal of Out of the Box Coaching and Consulting since July 2016, and an Adjunct Faculty member at Southern New Hampshire University and other institutions, teaching various finance and business courses. Previous experience includes roles as Community Development Manager at Bank OZK and Community Affairs at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Dr. Ellington holds a Doctor of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Capella University, an MBA in Economic Crime & Fraud Management from Utica University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from Azusa Pacific University, along with a Certificate from Chaffey College in Leadership.
