Michael Buettner is a business executive with experience in the finance, manufacturing, and retail sectors. Michael currently serves on the advisory board of Kyra Medical, a company that provides financing and advisory services to medical practices.
Buettner began their career in 1995 as senior vice president of Hillenbrand Industries Inc., a manufacturer of electrical equipment. Michael then served as co-CEO and CFO of Arclight Systems LLC from 2002 to 2004. In 2005, they became SVP finance & administration and CFO of Motorsport Aftermarket Group, Inc. (MAG), a retailer of aftermarket automotive parts and accessories. Michael left MAG in 2007 to join CFI Advisors as managing director, where they provided advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and capital decisions.
In 2011, Buettner was appointed to the board of directors of Spyder Active Sports, a manufacturer of ski apparel. Michael served as chairman of the audit committee and oversaw the sale of the company to Authentic Brands Group in 2013. Michael then joined the board of directors of S&S Cycle, Inc., a manufacturer of motorcycle engines and parts, where they served as chairman of the compensation, leadership, and development committee from 2014 to 2015 and as chairman of the board from 2015 to 2016.
Most recently, Buettner served as director of the board of directors of Kyra Medical from July 2018 to January 2019. Michael currently serves on the advisory board of Kyra Medical.
Michael Buettner has a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Michael is certified by the Licensing Executive Society as a Certified Licensing Professional and by the AICPA as a Certified Public Accountant.
