David Acton is a seasoned professional in commercial planning and operational support within the petroleum industry, currently serving as the Manager of Commercial & Planning at KUFPEC since 2017. In this role, David oversees the business plan and economic evaluations for the Canada region, while previously contributing to operational planning as a Senior Operational Support Engineer. Prior experience includes significant leadership roles at Husky Energy from 2000 to 2017, where David led the first tight resource development team, managed international engineering projects, and played a key role in the multi-billion-dollar Liwan gas field development in offshore China. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
