Geir Runar Johannessen was employed as area director in 2013. He then came from the position of councilor in Spydeberg municipality. Previously, he was county director/deputy county councilor and director of information in Østfold county municipality. He has also worked as an editor and information advisor at Storebrand. Johannessen has a university degree in journalism from Stavanger and a Master of Management from BI.
