Praveen Hegde is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Wayfair since June 2024, focusing on building customer knowledge bases, personalization models, and large language models (LLMs). Prior to this role, Praveen held multiple positions at LinkedIn from August 2018 to February 2024, culminating in the role of Staff Applied Research Engineer, where responsibilities included developing AI models for content quality in LinkedIn feeds and fine-tuning LLMs for content moderation tasks. Praveen also contributed to AI research at Amelia as a Research Engineer in machine learning and natural language processing from November 2016 to July 2018, and worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon briefly in 2016. Initial experience includes serving as a Software Developer in algorithmic trading at iRage Capital Advisory. Praveen received a Master of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from RV College of Engineering.
