Silmy Karim currently serves as Commissioner at Telkom Indonesia and Director General of Immigration at Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia Republik Indonesia. With an extensive background in leadership roles, Silmy was the CEO of PT. Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk, Indonesia's largest steel maker, from September 2018 to January 2023, and has held positions such as President Commissioner at PT Krakatau Posco and PT Krakatau Nippon Steel Sinergi. Previous experience includes CEO roles at PT. Barata Indonesia (Persero) and PT. Pindad (Persero), and contributions as a member of the board for GE Power and MAN Diesel & Turbo.
