Olivia Cruz Mayeda is an Arts and Culture Writer and Video Producer at KQED, where responsibilities include reporting on style, culture, and reparations since July 2023. Prior experience includes a year-long reporting internship focused on arts and culture. Olivia also completed a reporting internship at The San Francisco Standard and served as Head of Staff at Forest Farm. Additional roles include a Social Media Marketing Intern at La Cocina and Research and Policy Intern at The Office of Congresswoman Barbara Lee, where two separate internships were held. Earlier experience includes a Research Intern position at the American Friends Service Committee and a Teaching Assistant role in Writing and College Counseling at Ramallah Friends School. Olivia holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Brown University, earned between 2017 and 2021.
