Yannis Batistakis is an experienced database administrator and engineering manager, currently serving as the Lead Database Administrator at Kpler since February 2023, where Kpler has expanded into the maritime sector through the acquisition of MarineTraffic. With a strong background in database management, Yannis has held a senior role at MarineTraffic since February 2015, overseeing MSSQL environments and leading a team in database administration and support. Previous experience includes positions at InTTrust A.E. as a DBA and Database Services Consultant, and at Open24 SA as a DBA and Data Warehouse Engineer, as well as RDBMS administration at Publicis Hellas S.A. Yannis began a professional career as a research associate at the Athens University of Economics and Business, focusing on data mining and database consulting. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Information Systems from Hellenic Open University and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Patras.
