Dan Murphy has a strong background in finance and investment management. Dan started their career as an Investment Officer at Ameritrust Bank in 1988 before joining Brinson Partners in 1989 as a Partner and Senior Investment Analyst. In 1995, they became the Managing Partner at Northern Capital, where they stayed until 2018. Currently, they are the Principal and Portfolio Manager at Kovitz since 2019.

Dan Murphy attended the Wisconsin School of Business from 1986 to 1988, where they obtained an MBA with a specialization in Finance and Security Analysis.
