Ick-Soo Mok is a seasoned maritime professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within the maritime industry. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor at Korea Maritime & Ocean University since March 2018, Ick-Soo previously held the position of President & CEO at the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority from October 2014 to December 2017, focusing on maritime safety and technology R&D. As a Board Member at Haeyoung Maritime Services Co., Ltd. from January 2010 to November 2014, Ick-Soo represented Wilhelmsen Ship Management Holdings. Other notable positions include Managing Director at StormGeo Co., Ltd., General Manager roles at Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions and Wilhelmsen Marine Engineering Korea, as well as Senior Vice President at EUKOR Car Carriers Inc. Ick-Soo has foundational experience in ship management dating back to a tenure at Hyundai Merchant Marine from 1981 to 2002. Educational qualifications include a Master's Degree in Shipping Management from the Graduate School of Korea Maritime University and a Bachelor's in Nautical Science from Korea Maritime & Ocean University.
