Maureen Niemiec serves as Chief of Staff in the Office of the CISO at Kontoor Brands, Inc. since May 2022, focusing on creating and implementing advanced cybersecurity programs, including the deployment of a comprehensive Policies & Standards Governance Program using NIST-CSF and COBIT2019 frameworks. Prior roles include Vice President at Flagstar Bank, where Niemiec led a risk-based Audit Program praised by the OCC for advancements in cybersecurity, and a series of positions at General Motors, culminating as Senior Cybersecurity Manager. In these roles, Niemiec developed strategies for Information Security Risk reduction, managed extensive project portfolios, resolved regulatory audit findings, and significantly lowered software costs. Niemiec holds a BBA in Computer Based Information Technology from Walsh College and an MBA in International Management from Wayne State University.
