Hans-Petter H. Hanson currently serves as Chief Economist and Special Advisor to the Director of Competition at Konkurransetilsynet since January 2023. In addition, Hans-Petter H. Hanson has been the Editor of Tidsskrift for Konkurransepolitikk since January 2021 and contributed as a Guest Commentator for Bergens Tidende from January 2022 to January 2023. Previous experience includes working as an Economist at the EFTA Surveillance Authority from January 2019 to January 2023, a Senior Policy Officer at the European Commission from March 2017 to January 2019, and a Senior Economic Advisor at Konkurransetilsynet from January 2008 to March 2017. Earlier in the career, Hans-Petter H. Hanson held the position of Junior Trade Analyst at the OECD in 2007. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Bergen and a Post Graduate Diploma in Competition Law from King's College London.
