Hans Torreman has over 30 years of work experience in various roles within the engineering and project management field. Hans started their career at Ingenieursburo IBN in 1987 as a Mechanical Engineer. In 1991, they joined Vopak, where they held positions such as Project Manager/Operation Manager, Manager Projects, and currently serves as a Project Director. Throughout their tenure at Vopak, they have demonstrated their expertise in managing and overseeing projects.

Hans Torreman obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, where they studied from 1982 to 1987. Hans then pursued further education and earned a degree in Finance for non-finance managers from Rice University in 2001-2002. In 2007-2008, they attended the TSM Business School and obtained a Prince2 degree in Project Management.
