Marco Martens is an experienced advisor in the field of climate and conservation, currently serving as Adviseur Onderzoek Conservering at Koninklijke Bibliotheek, the national library of the Netherlands, since June 2023. Previously, Marco held the position of Klimaatspecialist at DYSECO from July 2021 to May 2023, and during an eight-year tenure at Helicon Conservation Support, Marco worked as Productmanager Klimaat & Luchtkwaliteit and Adviseur binnenklimaat & simulatie. Earlier experience includes serving as a bouwfysisch adviseur binnenklimaat in monumenten en musea at Martens Klimaatadvies from 2011 to January 2015. Marco obtained a PhD in Building Physics and Systems from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2012, following a Master's degree in Architecture, Building and Planning from the same institution.
