Thijs Schreijer has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Thijs started their career as a Junior Business Development Consultant at Atos Origin in 1996 and progressed to roles such as Project Leader Millennium, Service Delivery Manager, and Project/Transition Manager during their tenure at the company. In 2004, they moved to Logica as a Management Consultant, where they stayed until 2012. Thijs then joined CGI as a Business Consultant in 2013 before transitioning to Belastingdienst in 2008, where they served as a Consultant. During their time at Belastingdienst, they took on various roles within the same program, including setting up the project management office and implementing change and process implementations. In 2014, Thijs became the Co-founder and Manager of Technology and Operations at Niles | Smart Home Services, an integrator company focused on transforming homes into smart homes. Thijs also served as a Member of the UPnP Forum's Smartgrid/Home Energy Management Systems workgroup from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they became an Independent Home-Automation Professional, offering home automation services as an owner. Finally, they joined Kong Inc. in 2015, initially working as a Kong Core Engineer and later transitioning to the role of Solutions Architect at the Office of the CTO.
Thijs Schreijer completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Economics / Electronics at Saxion University of Applied Sciences from 1990 to 1996. Thijs then pursued further education and obtained an MBA in General Management from Rochester - Nyenrode Executive MBA in 2002 to 2003. Additionally, during the same time period, they also completed an Executive MBA in Management and Economics at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School.
