Jonas Hallberg is an experienced legal adviser with a strong background in investment disputes and trade policy. Currently serving at The Office of the Chancellor of Justice since January 2021, Jonas represents Sweden in an ICSID investment dispute. Previously, Jonas has held roles at the National Board of Trade as a Trade Policy Adviser since September 2013, and provided expertise at the Ministry of Justice on investment screening systems from October 2019 to November 2021. Additional experience includes advising during the initial phase of a major investment dispute at the Chancellor of Justice's office, conducting legal investigations at the Administrative Court of Appeal, and serving in various roles within the Swedish government related to immigration and housing policy. Jonas holds a Master's degree in Political Science from Stockholm University and a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Bergen.
