Maria Dahlqvist Canton has held various positions in the marketing field since 1998. Maria began their career at Industri-Matematik as a Marketing Manager for Nordic Sales, where they developed and delivered a marketing plan for the Nordics with a focus on demand generation, awareness, and PR. In 1999, they moved to Candle Corporation as a Manager of European Marketing Programs, where they were responsible for the management of demand generation activities, the launch of a European web site and customer newsletter, the implementation of a lead management process and contact database across Europe, and the management of various customer loyalty programmes and senior Advisory Councils. In 2002, they joined SAS as an Alliances Marketing Manager and a Marketing Services Manager, where they managed a 20+ marketing team and had responsibility for the planning and execution of marketing programmes aimed to raise awareness, generate sales pipeline, and develop customer relationships. In 2009, they moved to LexisNexis as the Head of Marketing for Enterprise Solutions. In 2010, they joined Sophos as the Head of Global Channel Marketing, Head of International Marketing Strategy, and Head of Marketing NEMEAI. In 2013, they moved to Ixia as the Head of EMEA Marketing NVS. In 2015, they joined Information Builders as an International Marketing Director. In 2017, they moved to MetaPack Group as a Global Marketing Director. In 2019, they joined Exclaimer as the VP Global Marketing and Head of Global Marketing. Currently, they are the Chief Marketing Officer at Kognity, a position they have held since 2022.

Maria Dahlqvist Canton attended Jonkoping International Business School in Sweden from 1990 to 1994, where they earned a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Economics with Marketing. Maria also attended Jönköping International Business School. In 2020, they obtained the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme certification from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
