Jim Gustavsson has more than 20 years of experience in the software development and engineering field. Jim started their career at TietoEnator Objectec in 1997 as a Software Developer before moving on to Doubleway International AB, EDS Group, Capital C AB, and Enfo Zystems, where they held various roles as a Software Developer and Integration Architect.

In 2008, they joined Ericsson as a Software Designer, working on the development of features for the MME. Jim also worked as a Software Designer in the Software Defined Networking area and as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed a Java-based rule engine for alarm automation. At Ericsson, they gained experience in different roles such as Cross-Functional Team Member, Scrum Master, and Test Tools Developer.

From 2020 to 2021, Jim worked at Meltwater as a Senior Software Engineer, where they managed a petabyte-sized search cluster based on Elasticsearch in AWS. Jim used various technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, Java, Kotlin, and Terraform.

In 2021, Jim joined Xenit AB as a DevOps Engineer, focusing on tasks related to DevOps engineering for the company. Jim worked on automation and infrastructure tasks using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

In 2023, Jim worked at Ericsson Software as a Cloud Engineer, responsible for developing cloud infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Packer, and Ansible.

Currently, Jim is working at Kognic as a Platform Engineer, specializing in platform engineering tasks.

Throughout their career, Jim has gained experience in cloud computing, DevOps, software development, and infrastructure automation using various programming languages and tools.

Jim Gustavsson attended Umeå University from 1993 to 1995, where they studied Computer Science. Prior to that, they were enrolled at Kalmar University from 1990 to 1993, majoring in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, Jim Gustavsson obtained several certifications from IBM, including IBM Certified SOA Solution Designer - Websphere MQ v6.0, IBM Certified System Administrator - Websphere MQ v6.0, and IBM SOA Solution Designer.
