Theodora Lau is a seasoned entrepreneur and thought leader with extensive experience in the financial technology sector. As the Founder of Unconventional Ventures since November 2017, Theodora focuses on creating a banking ecosystem that addresses the unmet needs of consumers, particularly older adults and women, while connecting underrepresented entrepreneurs with funding opportunities. In addition to authoring notable works such as "Beyond Good" and "The Metaverse Economy," Theodora serves as a Podcaster for One Vision and holds advisory positions at BOND.AI and B21 Ventures. Previous roles include Director of Market Innovation at AARP and Head of Operations at Talkspace, as well as contributions to initiatives like VC Innovations and Holt Accelerator. Theodora holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MS in Project Management from The George Washington University, with further studies at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
