Abdou Allayeh is a seasoned researcher with over 16 years of extensive experience in virology. Currently serving as a researcher at Koç University since April 2024, Abdou previously held significant roles at Nawah Scientific, including Head of Section and Senior Scientist in Antiviral Services, and at the National Research Center as an Associate Professor of Virology. Abdou's research focuses on the detection, isolation, propagation, genotyping, and antiviral strategies against various viruses, including Rotaviruses, Adenoviruses, Polyomaviruses, and respiratory viruses like SARS-CoV-2. Abdou's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Virology from Ain Shams University, complemented by advanced studies in bioinformatics and multiple degrees in microbiology and virology from Al-Azhar University.
