James Mason

General Trustee at Knox College

Mason’s distinguished military service was comprised of worldwide troop assignments with Infantry units, which encompassed command and staff duties. After retirement from the US Army, Mason joined Parsons as a Defense Contractor, providing system analyses and technical consulting in support of integrated ballistic missile defense planning. Mason volunteers throughout his community in various roles. Most significantly as a Director, Colorado Springs School District 11 Board of Education; Member, Leadership Pikes Peak Board of Trustees; and Member, Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority Board. In recognition of his community activism, in 2015 Mason was awarded the Leadership Pikes Peak’s Community Inspiration Leadership Award. Mason holds a BA in Political Science from Knox College; an MS in Personnel Management from Troy University; a Master of Military Art and Science Degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College; and a Graduate, U.S. Army War College.
